About
Despite the surname, I do not believe I possess any French ancestry. Another prominent fact about me is that I am currently on the wrong side of 23, and I also have a fairly sizeable mole on my face that can’t be removed because it’s too close to my eye. Despite these two setbacks I am fabulously good looking. Well, 6/10. On a foggy day.
At the moment I have a PS3, 360, DS, PSP, PS2 and a PC all taking up sockets on the various extension plugs scattered around my room. In my cupboards I have a Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS1, SNES, Mega Drive, Master System and all kinds of Gameboys. I’ve also got well over 250 games spread over numerous bookcases and shelves. It’s safe to say, I think, that I play a lot games. And that I never throw anything away.
On the academic side of things I’ve recently completed my first (and last, hopefully) degree in English Literature with Creative Writing, which I took at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. It was a pleasant three years.
In terms of writing, my work has been featured on Play.tm, GamesRadar, The Telegraph, IncGamers and Xbox360Achievements, amongst others.
Right now I spend my spare time as a freelance games journalist, which I really enjoy. I’ve racked up experience in writing reviews and features, worked with various PR bods and have attended oodles of events. Detailing what I get up to is pretty much the purpose of this blog. Do feel free to take a look around, and don’t be afraid to get in touch if you’d like to acquire my games-related services. Serious publications only, please.
